That’s a great question! Typically, folks have a better understanding of which service offering is a good fit for them after our initial discovery call. During our discovery call, we can help identify which service offering fits best once we hear more about your timeline, budget and scope of work.

We specialize in kitchen, bathroom and full home renovations. Because we are a boutique firm, we can only take on so many projects each year, and therefore the majority of our projects involve at least one bathroom or kitchen that is a fully “to the studs” renovation.

Our fees greatly depend on scope. For design only or our “Remodel Design” service offering, we charge a flat rate based on the sqft of the space (with a sqft minimum) for a clearly defined set of design deliverables.

Design + Build pricing is much more complex, but we believe in being as transparent as possible in our pricing, and have adopted a hybrid “fixed cost/cost plus” pricing model. If after our discovery call it seems like scope, budget and timeline are a good fit, then our Design + Build contract goes into greater detail regarding pricing.

Depending on scope, design services for a remodel can take anywhere from 8-16 weeks. For the build portion of the project, this varies depending on scope and we can speak to that more specifically once we’ve learned more about your project.

The sooner the better. We block our schedule out as far as possible, and we have clients who reach out two to three years before their remodel to get on our radar. For our Design + Build clients we generally wont begin the design process until our client’s are within 3-6 months of being ready to start construction. Our process is set up so that we can seamlessly move from design straight into build with minimal time in between.

We don’t offer design consultations as a stand-alone service offering. We reserve in-person consultations for folks where we have mutually determined being a good fit, and the consultation is the next step in our process prior to entering into contract. We love our remote clients and have worked with many clients around the country using our ‘Remodel Design’ and ‘Mini Design Package’ service offerings. As an addition to our Remodel Design service, we offer appropriately timed Project Management site visits to ensure the design vision is coming to life as planned.

Absolutely! Our ultimate goal is client satisfaction - we want you to not only love your space, but also feel that your space functions well for you and your family/lifestyle. In our discovery call, we will assess aesthetic fit, because ensuring we both (generally speaking) see beauty through a similar lens is important to ensuring our ultimate goal is met. There are many check-in points throughout our design process, so be rest assured that there will never be something in the design that our clients haven’t signed off on and feel excited about.
